His diving journey began unexpectedly after years of studying karate—one day, curiosity led him into The Scuba Company, and the rest is history. Within a year, Yasmany advanced from PADI Open Water Diver to Divemaster, later earning his Instructor and IDC Staff Instructor certifications. His dedication and enthusiasm for diving have inspired countless others to take the plunge, with over 300 certifications earned in 2017, making him a PADI Elite Instructor—the only one in New Mexico at the time—and earning him PADI Pro of the Year in 2018.
